47th minute strike from midfield generalissimo, Francis Oteng inflicted deep wounds in the Kotoko set up only for Sani’s treacherous late strike to send them into perpetual retreat.

Nzema Kotoko came into the game with much confidence resulting from the impressive results they got in their last two games- scoring 7 goals and conceding just two goals. They beat Deportivo by 3 goals to one at Paa Joe park in Kumasi and hammered Star Madrid by 4 goals to 1.

Skyy on the other hand had determined to right the wrong and had promised not to drop points this time around.

Kotoko began with some sublime possession and some beautiful 1,2 play. However, the home side took over the game and made things very difficult for the visitors.

The total dominance did not yield any results in the first half.

Two minutes into the first half, Francis Oteng pounced on a lose ball resulting from a free kick to send the home side into a lead. They continue to control the game and just when everyone thought the game was ending in 1:0, Akwasi Sarpong the substitute picked a lose ball in the center circle and payed Sani on in a 1 versus 1 situation but the final delivery was poor, resulting in a corner kick. Kotoko could not defend the corner well and Sani capitalised on that to score in the 92nd minue.
