Sensational Unistar capitulated to Skyy FC at the Swedru stadium in Match day 8 of the Division One Zone 2 league today.
Skyy FC had lost some key players ahead of the fixture which compelled the technical team to not only change personnel but also alter formation and tactics. Ebenezer Acquah, the dependable defender was on suspension so Martin Owusu, the regular right back was shifted to Central defence. Ebenezer Ocran was returning from injury and starting him was not going to be. Baba Musa Hamadu, hours to the start of the game was sidelined by malaria.
In their place, Ebenezer Adu-Kwaw and Samuel Arthur made their debut with Benjamin Aboagye Dacosta making a return to the team.
Malik, for the first time in the season conceded midfield play to Unistar and opted for wing play, depending heavily on the speed of Adu-Kwaw and Emmanuel Eshun, and the strength of Ebenezer Mamatah upfront.
Skyy FC broke the deadlock through Adu-Kwaw on the 33rd minute. Mamatah gave Adu-Kwaw a through pass in the center circle, and with a sublime solo, he took on 2 players, dribbled the goalkeeper and slotted the ball in the net.
Unistar responded with a quick equaliser in the 34th minute. It was an end to end in the first half. The first half ended 1 apiece.
Skyy FC took control of all departments of the game, piling pressure on Unistar. In the 68th minute, Ebenezer Mamatah pounced on a lose ball from a Unistar defender, looked for space and hit the ball into the net.
Try as Unistar did, they couldn’t overpower a resilient skyy FC side to get the equaliser.

Solomon Ohene Nimo was in post, Samuel Arthur at right back, Samuel Afful at left back, John Asmah and Martin Owusu in Central defence, Shaibu Tahiru and Francis Oteng Gyetua in the heart of midfield, Emmanuel Eshun and Ebenezer Adu-Kwaw at either flanks, Benjamin Aboagye Dacosta at 10 and Mamatah leading the attack. Ebenezer Ocran came in for Dacosta while Frederick Quayson in the 81st minute replaced Mamatah.
Skyy FC will play away to Nzema Kotoko in week 9 of the DOL.
